The Art of Playing with Reality
A journey to discover your 8 fold palette to paint your life.
The Storyweaving
The Mad Hatter spawned from two journeys aboard The Pippilotta, flagship of the TACOS Fleet, and came back carrying a rather suspicious collection of treasures: stories, spells, artworks, heartbreaks, strange symbols, half-burned maps and one question that refused to leave them alone:
What happens when we stop treating reality as fixed and start playing with it?
So naturally, they built a dragonship.
Ursula is preparing to spread her wings and travel across the Eight Lands of Consciousness and the Eight Islands of Magick, navigating by the eight colours of Chaos Magick: a rather unruly palette for inner and outer transformation.
Aboard Ursula, we become pirates of consciousness.
We wander beyond the borders of what we have been told to be, rummage through the dungeons of conditioning and inherited stories, wake sleeping dragons, steal back forgotten desires and see what happens when we start treating identity as something a little less solid and a lot more playable.
This voyage flies between creative genius and madness. Which, inconveniently, is also where some of the most interesting things seem to happen.
We will ride dragons, roam dungeons, make art, perform rituals, play games, question maps, follow suspicious currents and experiment with the transformational power of art, magick and embodied experience.
We will explore which colours of Magick are already blazing in your life, which have gone a little dim, and which strange parts of you have been scratching at the walls asking to be let out.
And because apparently we cannot simply have a nice magical adventure without turning it into an experiment… this is also R&D.
We are researching what happens when a bunch of curious creatures agree to use consciousness as a playground and actually do the Great Work instead of merely reading about it.
What can we discover?
What can we create?
What happens when we stop asking “Who am I supposed to be?”
and start asking:
“What kind of creature do I want to become?”
The Mad Hatter does not promise answers.
They offer a dragonship, a strange map, a handful of magical tools, some suspicious doors, and the possibility that somewhere along the way you may become considerably more yourself than you had planned.
Ursula is raising her wings.
The Eight Lands are waiting.
The Eight Colours of Magick are glowing.
Come aboard, curious creature.
The Ship
Ursula, the Dragonship

Ursula is a new flying ship, setting out on her very first magical journey.
During two journeys aboard the Pippilotta, the Mad Hatter forged a deep relationship with a strange and ancient creature: the Dragon, a multidimensional, prehistoric and deeply magical being. During the second voyage, the Mad Hatter received the title Dragon Rider. So when the time came to build a vessel of their own, there was really only one possible choice.
The ship had to be a Dragon.
Ursula feels like the perfect vessel for a journey into the realms of the unseen. Dragons are creatures of myth, imagination and reality, capable of travelling across dimensions and time. They are neither good nor evil. They simply are.
Fierce protectors and powerful teachers of boundaries, they know how to guard what is precious, an invaluable quality when venturing into the realms between worlds hunting for treasures.
Ursula lives somewhere between myth and reality, imagination and embodiment, the known and the unknown.
And now she is spreading her wings.
The Crew
For this voyage, we are calling a crew of up to 21 curious creatures, alongside the Quartermaster and Captain.
We are looking for humans who feel that their life could use a little more colour, magick and mischief.
Perhaps you feel trapped in a life that has become tasteless, repetitive or somehow not quite your own. Perhaps you are curious about Magick and looking for a playful, creative way to explore consciousness and transformation.
Perhaps you are already a seasoned witch or magician, and feel called to deepen your practice through ritual, experimentation and collective Magick.
Perhaps you are an artist or creative wondering what happens when Magick enters your creative process, when art becomes ritual, symbols become spells and imagination becomes a technology for transformation.
Or perhaps you have absolutely no idea why you’re reading this. You simply feel a strange pull towards a flying Dragonship called Ursula.
That’s good enough.
You don’t need to arrive with a particular belief system, a perfectly formulated intention or a map of where you’re going. You only need curiosity, a willingness to experiment, and a desire to meet yourself beyond the stories you’ve inherited.
We have 23 places aboard Ursula.
If you feel the call, perhaps you are already part of the crew.
The Captain
Her Hattness, The Mad Hatter

I am known as The Mad Hatter, artist, ritualist, chaos magician, tantrica, movement oracle and occasional professional fool.
Art has been my one constant companion through every death and rebirth of this life. I have already lived several different lifetimes within this one, and somehow art kept finding me through all of them. What began with painting and mixed-media collage has gradually transformed into movement, ritual, magical artefacts and participatory performance.
The medium changed, the artist remained.
Around six years ago, Magick entered my life and quietly turned it inside out. I realised I wasn’t really living, I was functioning. Following inherited stories, beliefs and expectations had created a life that was safe enough to inhabit, but no longer felt like mine.
Magick became a path of remembering.
A way of questioning the maps I had inherited, dismantling the spells I had unconsciously been living under, and slowly uncovering the strange creature underneath all that conditioning.
Since then, art, Magick and consciousness have become impossible to separate in my work. I create magical artefacts and immersive experiences that speak through symbols, movement, sensation and play rather than explanations, inviting curious souls to step through the looking glass and become active explorers of their own consciousness.
The Quartermaster
You may call me Fox Chao.
Always known to be a bit of a magickal creature – one who tends to pull others into her spell, whether she means to or not. Twice already she has sailed aboard the Pippilotta, through waters that were rarely gentle, but always made room for more play and for shaping your own reality, and everyone else’s while you’re at it.
On an island somewhere in the Octomantic Seas, Fox Chao and Mad Hatter first crossed paths, purely by mischief. They quickly discovered their favourite language wasn’t words at all, but image and body. So they danced in colour instead.
Fox Chao is an artist, self-taught many moons ago, a Lomi Lomi practitioner, a creature of the underwater world, and a permaculture activist. She carries love for the tiniest being and the greatest thing out there, in more or less equal measure.
She doesn’t read between the lines.
She feels between the unsaid.
And every now and then, she does MU –
which, quite literally, means nothing.
Aboard this voyage, Fox Chao will be tending to the emotional and energetic weather of the Crew: holding space, including for what stays unspoken, and weaving new threads between what shows up, new ways of seeing, and new ways of feeling.
The The Coin
As this is Ursula’s maiden voyage, this first Crew will do more than simply travel aboard her. You will help shape, colour, test and refine the ship and the journey itself. In other words, you are not just passengers, you are part of the experiment.
And because we are inviting you to help us birth something new, the coin for this maiden voyage is intentionally gentle.
We also want to honour the fact that different humans have different capacities to contribute. So the exchange is offered on a sliding scale:
230€ — 320€
Choose the amount that feels right for your current capacity. And as you choose your contribution, remember one of the Mad Hatter’s favourite laws of nature and magick:
You get as much as you give.
